Aircraft Avionic/Electrical Installation Technician
SCOPE:
We are seeking an experienced l Aircraft Electrician/Avionics Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for aviation and a strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems, avionics, running wiring, termination, connectors, troubleshooting technique and a keen attention to detail.
They will primarily be responsible for fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of aircraft electrical systems, wiring, avionics, test instrumentation, electronic equipment, and related systems. This work must closely follow Drawings, Schematics, FAA/military Specifications, Engineering Releases, Technical Standard Orders, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:
Installing aircraft avionics, test instrumentation, electronic equipment, and related components.
Fabricating and install aircraft wiring harnesses to include data, power, ground wires and associated pins, connectors, backshells, cannon plugs, etc.
Repair and maintenance on a variety of electrical equipment including aircraft, group support, and instrumentation equipment.
Collaboration with engineers to inform the design of electrical components and systems.
Trouble-shoot malfunctions, diagnose problems, and propose repair/remediation strategies.
Maintain Quality Control documents to include shop orders, logbooks and Defective Material Reports (DMRs).
Provide data for contracting records including parts utilized, time expended, and type of work performed, charge line number etc.

Job Requirements:

EXPERIENCE & EQUIPMENT:
Minimum 8 plus years’ experience involving fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of various types of installing wire harness, avionics systems, etc. in the government and commercial aviation industry.
Must be able to operate the following types of equipment: multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron, terminal crimpers, pin and socket insertion tools, and other instruments necessary in the testing and repair of electrical and avionics equipment.
Experience with military and/or commercial specifications and best practices for aviation applications (preferred).

Tooling Required:  Shadow & Engraved Tools.  Tool list required.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand on ladders for long periods of time, and fit in small spaces.

Employment Compliance Requirements:
Must be able to pass a 10-year criminal background check, FAA DOT Drug Test, and Physical.
Must be a US Citizen and show proof.  Must have an active driver’s license. 

Location: Central Texas

Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday   6:30am-4:30 pm or 4:30 pm - 2:30 am.  Need to be flexible to work either shifts and Overtime.
