Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics to support heavy maintenance and modification activities on Boeing 737 aircraft at an MRO facility in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Mechanics will perform structural repairs, modifications, inspections, and installations in accordance with aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering documentation, and applicable FAA regulations.
Job Duties
  • Perform structural sheet metal repairs and modifications on Boeing 737 aircraft.
  • Remove, fabricate, and install aircraft structural components and sheet metal assemblies.
  • Read and interpret aircraft blueprints, engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and structural repair manuals (SRMs).
  • Perform aircraft skin repairs, doublers, patches, splices, and structural reinforcements.
  • Measure, lay out, cut, drill, form, bend, and install aircraft sheet metal components.
  • Perform precision drilling, countersinking, dimpling, reaming, and riveting.
  • Install and remove various types of aircraft fasteners, including solid rivets and blind fasteners.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, sheet metal equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and identify structural damage, corrosion, cracks, and other discrepancies.
  • Perform corrosion removal and treatment as required.
  • Assist with aircraft modifications, inspections, and heavy maintenance checks.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Follow all FAA, OSHA, company, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
  • Work effectively as part of a maintenance team in a hangar/MRO environment.
Qualifications
  • Previous aircraft sheet metal or structural maintenance experience.
  • Boeing 737 experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in an MRO, airline, military, or heavy maintenance environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, drawings, blueprints, and SRMs.
  • Proficiency with aircraft sheet metal fabrication and repair techniques.
  • Experience with drilling, riveting, forming, fitting, and installation of aircraft structures.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and aircraft maintenance hand tools.
  • Must be able to work from ladders, lifts, and aircraft stands and perform physical work in a hangar environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as required by the maintenance schedule.
  • Must pass a DOT drug test and background check.
  • Must provide and maintain their own required tools; all tools must be shadowed and/or etched for identification.
Preferred Experience
  • Heavy maintenance / C-check experience.
  • Structural repair and modification experience.
  • Experience with SRM-based repairs.
  • Experience with aluminum and aircraft sheet metal fabrication.
  • Previous Part 145 MRO experience.

Pay/Schedule:
  • Hourly dependent on experience
  • M-F Day Shift
  • Per diem to those that qualify
