Job Description

LOCATION & DETAILS                                                                                                                   
  • San Antonio, TX
  • Onsite – Outdoor Flightline Operations
  • Full-Time | 12-Month Contract
  • Target Start Date: 9/7/2026
  • Work is performed outdoors on the flightline, not inside a hangar; candidates must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Must be open to variable shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
  • 2nd and 3rd Shift are priority needs
    • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM — Priority
    • 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM — Priority
  • Mandatory training is approximately 8–9 weeks and will be conducted on 1st or 2nd Shift
  • Ability to obtain a Port San Antonio Flightline Badge is required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform final aircraft component installation and associated maintenance activities.
  • Conduct aircraft system operational and functional testing to verify proper operation.
  • Perform aircraft rework, modifications, maintenance, and corrective actions as required.
  • Conduct preflight and post-flight inspections and checks in support of aircraft testing and delivery.
  • Support maintenance activities involving live aircraft systems and flight operations.
  • Perform assigned maintenance and inspection activities outdoors on the flightline in varying weather conditions.
  • Inspect aircraft and components for discrepancies and document non-conformances in accordance with established procedures.
  • Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions, processes, and technical requirements.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of aircraft discrepancies within assigned scope of work.
  • Safely handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established requirements.
  • Maintain required training and certifications necessary to support assigned flightline responsibilities.
  • Follow all applicable safety, FOD, PPE, and flightline procedures.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • 3+ years of related aircraft maintenance experience, aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience.
  • 1+ year of 787 program experience preferred.
  • A&P License preferred but not required.
  • Must be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and other changing environmental conditions.
  • Ability to successfully complete approximately 8–9 weeks of mandatory training on 1st or 2nd Shift.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Port San Antonio Flightline Badge is required.
  • Experience understanding and interpreting detailed written and verbal work instructions and processes.
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift, including days, nights, weekends, and variable schedules.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required training certifications associated with assigned responsibilities.
  • Must be able to pass required visual acuity and color perception testing.
  • Must be comfortable working around active aircraft, elevated platforms, confined spaces, and high-noise environments.
  • Ability to properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to climb and work from 3–12 ft. ladders, stands, and vertical work ladders.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach overhead, balance, bend, squat, crawl, and work on flat or uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to lift approximately 35 lbs. independently; occasional two-person lifts may be required for items exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely work around and occasionally come into contact with metals and hazardous materials.
  • A third-party background check will be conducted post-start, following completion of training as part of the flightline badging process.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment 10-year Criminal Background Check, general health physical, and standard FAA DOT drug test.
  • Proof of U.S citizenship required.
  • Reliable personal transportation/vehicle required.
  • Valid US Driver’s License.
