POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform installations, modifications, testing, and troubleshooting of avionics systems on C-12s. You will ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety in compliance with FAA, OEM, and customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install and integrate avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and mission-specific equipment.
  • Perform system modifications, updates, and upgrades per technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic, work instructions and engineering specifications.
  • Work includes wire routing, terminations, component remove and installation, wire ring outs and ground run verifications.
  • Conduct functional and operational testing of installed systems to ensure proper performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot avionics issues using schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic tools.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures during installations and modifications.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years of experience in avionics installations and modifications
  • C-12 or similar aircraft experience required (i.e. B1900, King Air, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of avionics systems, including wiring, schematics, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with avionics test equipment and tools.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification or FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment standard drug test and criminal background check.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
  • Valid US Driver’s License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • May work in hazardous working conditions, near flight lines; some assignments are within an uncontrolled climate facility.
  • Must be able to see with corrective eye wear and hear clearly with assistance.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, or crouch.
  • The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Expected to handle/manage hazardous materials/waste in accordance with regulatory and industrial standards.
  • Wears/maintains personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, hearing, extremities, respiratory devices, protective shields and barriers as required

PAY
  • $33-36 hourly
  • Split per diem to those that qualify (up to $208/daily or $1040/ weekly in non taxable per diem)
  • OT time and a half
  • Paid weekly after first week.


SCHEDULE
  • Monday – Friday
  • 5:30am shift start time

  • The available interview times are typically 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM Central Time.
  • You must be punctual to the time slot you commit to if you are selected for an interview.
